For Art Basel Miami 2022, Criatura took a spanner to a cyan Audi R8 and let Tenta loose across the panels. Green tentacles pour over the hood and haunches, pink suckers gripping the paint, with a hand-lettered ‘Welcome to Miami’ scrawled behind the side intake.
Painted by hand with spray cans in a South Florida warehouse lot — no vinyl, no wrap — the car became a rolling Criatura piece the moment the masking tape came off.
Playful luxury, before the Criartura. The R8 set the template every Criatura vehicle has followed since.
