Frieze London, 2025. Criatura painted himself completely white — face, hands, clothes, shoes — and stood motionless against a fair wall beneath a 'STEP-FREE ACCESS' sign, an unauthorized Tenta canvas strapped to his chest with a printed wall label pinned to his collar.
Visitors walked past for minutes before realising the wall was breathing. The Paywall — the fair decides what gets seen; the work decides when it appears.
